Note from Jeanine Cox

Our building Campaign Theme " Bridge to the Future" is central to what is happening with the programs here at Young At Heart Senior Center. What will the future bring for services to seniors and others in our community? We have seen an increase of 500% in the numbers of seniors we are now helping each year compared to 20 years ago. The Older Americans Act of 1965, which set in motion services for seniors, is also expanding to include funding components for programs for grandparents raising grandchildren, adding services/ programs for children through the senior centers. Hundreds and hundreds of people any ageare able to live independently because of the home health services/programs. Our focus has changed from serving just seniors to now serving seniors, the disabled, children or anyone of any age if they have a need for the services /programs offered here at the Young At Heart Senior Center. In the past 33 years of our existence, our quality as a community facility has enhanced the lives of so many older people in our midst. We vision for the future a service network, providing a base of support, which will help people ,any age, live independently, still enabling them to contribute to the community we love.

Our senior center facility is the hub for the delivery of all services and programs.

It is open five days a week, most evening and about 50% of week-ends.

The Home Health service program will be operating within the next few months on a 24/7 basis.

The new facility will be more able to offer more to the community, such as a place for meetings, birthday parties, or christmas parties.

The " Bridge to the Future" campaign will be ongoing until we reach our donation goals.

The Volunteers , Staff and Board of Directors are enthusiastic

and prepared for the challenges ahead!

Please Join Us and be part of the history and the future of our community

by making an investment in the

New Young At Hearty Senior Center and Community Center.

It is an opportunity of a lifetime... honoring lifetimes.
